Sarkis Hakopdjanian, B.Comm.
Director of Strategy + Principal
Sarkis is an experienced business and marketing consultant with extensive education and training from Canada’s leading academic and corporate institutions. He spent 10 years working for TD Bank, providing business and financial consulting to business owners and healthcare practitioners. He received numerous awards and recognitions, including Top Performer Award and Best Business Plan. He also worked for two global health and fitness companies, such as Orangetheory Fitness, creating marketing tools and business plans that were implemented across Canada.
Sarkis completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta School of Business. He’s also educated in Psychology at MacEwan University, working in the research laboratory of a world-renowned research professor. He’s a published author in a textbook on the psychological influence of technology on consciousness. In 2014, he launched a massage therapy clinic social enterprise, with a mandate to donate all net profits to charity to educate children.
After a serious medical injury, Sarkis was fortunate to have been treated by a rehabilitation team of therapists. He founded The Business Clinic to support healthcare and wellness professionals in their mission to help heal our communities. Sarkis has supported many healthcare practices from initial launch to rapid growth of new practitioners. As a result, he has delivered university presentations and industry conferences on starting and growing a successful healthcare business or wellness practice.

Riley Witiw, MBA (Candidate)
Creative Director
Riley is a published author, expert researcher and digital media specialist. He’s a graduate from MacEwan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Communications. His work has been published at the Edmonton Journal, Calgary Herald, Vancouver Sun, The Province in Vancouver, Lethbridge Herald, Medicine Hat Tribune and Windsor Star. He’s also a published author of the book “How to Build and Maintain Relationships with Mental Illness.”
Being passionate about art and music, Riley first embarked on a journey as a musician. He discovered the process of marketing his own music to be exhilarating, challenging, and rewarding. He found it incredibly fulfilling to find a creative outlet for his art and music. Ultimately, his journey of self-discovery led him to realize that his interests extend to communications and marketing. He is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Alberta School of Business.
Today, Riley works as a Creative Director for The Business Clinic. He’s passionate about contributing to creative projects, as creativity can manifest in many ways: writing, visual art, or music. He chose to work for The Business Clinic to empower healthcare professionals to focus on what they do best: helping people.
Through The Business Clinic, I get to do my part in improving our community by bringing attention to qualified professionals that have the skills to make a difference. Furthermore, I was attracted to the values and principles The Business Clinic is built on – I believe it is vital for companies in the 21st century to have an ethical approach to business.
Curtis Fraser
Website Developer
Curtis graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He has worked as a website developer for over 11 years for clients such as Qualico, MNP, Athabasca Oil, Travel Alberta, and many others. He has also published a paper called “Tool support for working with sets of source code entities.” In addition to being passionate about websites, Curtis is also passionate about keeping his body and mind healthy, his family, friends, and woodworking!
Cole Buhler
Copywriter
Cole is completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from MacEwan University. He has written profiles on mental health and currently volunteers with the Office of Human Rights as a staff journalist. He recently studied in Japan where he taught English, literature and poetry to Japanese university students. In addition to being passionate about writing, Cole is also passionate about jazz music and restoring old motorcycles!
Teagan Zwierink
Graphic + Website Designer
Teagan is a two-time graduate of MacEwan University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing as well as a Design Studies diploma in Illustration. She has over 8 years of experience as a designer for clients such as ATB Financial, Alberta Teacher’s Association, Oilweek Magazine, JWN Energy and Grant Thornton. Teagan is proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. In addition to being passionate about marketing and design, she’s also passionate about health and fitness!
Maria Hernandez
Graphic + Website Designer
Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from MacEwan University, as well as a Digital Media and Information Technology diploma from NAIT. She’s proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. She’s passionate about art, design, marketing strategy, and Nintendo!
